Emergency First Aid

This 4-hour course is designed for anyone who wishes to gain a basic insight into First Aid.
Course includes: Managing an incident, Priorities of First Aid, CPR, Disorders of the
airway, Disorders of circulation, Control of bleeding and Burns and Scalds.

Emergency First Aid at Work course

A one day course suitable for “Appointed Persons” under the Health and Safety Regulations.
To be renewed every 3 years. 
Course includes: CPR, Control of bleeding, Unconscious Casualty, Communication, Contents of First Aid boxes, Heart disorders and epilepsy, Shock and Burns & Scalds.  It also covers the workplace legislation.

Baby and Child First Aid

This course is for anyone who wishes to gain knowledge and experience of First Aid for babies and children and certification lasts for 3 years.  It is aimed at new parents and nursery staff.
Course includes: Accidents in the home/nursery, Recovery position, CPR and
treatment for shock, Disorders of breathing, Hypothermia, Disorders of consciousness, Wounds and bleeding, Injuries to bones and soft tissue, Burns and scalds, Poisons, Miscellaneous conditions.

3 day Emergency First Aid at Work

On completion of training, successful candidates should be able to; provide emergency first aid at work; administer first aid to a casualty with: Injuries to bones, muscles and joints, including suspected spinal injuries, Chest injuries, Burns and scalds, Eye injuries, Poisoning, Anaphylactic shock; recognise the presence of major illness and provide appropriate first aid (including Heart attack, Stroke, Epilepsy, Asthma, Diabetes).

£250 per person, with discounts for group bookings.

 

Anaphylaxis Awareness

This 4-hour course gives information and training on how to recognise and treat this
manageable condition. It is available to the pre-school/school environments as well as the
leisure and catering industries. 
Course includes: Definition of Anaphylaxis, Causes, Recognition of symptoms and
signs, Precautionary measures, Visual protocol, Baby/child/adult CPR, Recovery position.
